I'm Still Gadding About...

...being interviewed by the wonderful Tasha at her blog, And Another Book Read. Click here for the interview, and here for her review of Ten Cents a Dance. Thanks Tasha, for the fun questions!

Next week I'll give my social butterfly wings a rest, and settle back home a while...

Great Interview!
I especially loved "Which is why I can tell you all about the Tydings-McDuffie Act of 1934, but I can’t remember where I put my sunglasses" What a hoot!
I am so glad you got published as a YA author. While looking for Tallulah Falls in the YA section of the local Waldenbooks, I saw the title I'd Tell You I Loved You, but Then I'd Have to Kill You. Illustrating the power and importance of a title, I just had to have that one. I've always been a huge fan of Christine Fletcher, and now I'm a fan of Ally Carter, too, thanks to the YA connection. And today I found out from a link on the interviewer's blog that there's a sequel in the Gallagher Girls series, so I'm going to get it next.
A challenge for Christine - get your third novel into my hands before Ally gets the third G. Girls novel published!

I haven't read Ally Carter yet; she's on the list! Did you know her first book is being made into a movie?

I've discovered so many great authors in YA. In fact, I'm talking about that tomorrow at a writers' organization. I'll report how it goes--

Wonderful interview, Christine. I have a laptop that I don't connect to the Internet, either, and it's surprising how much more writing I get done on it than the desktop. Plus, I sit at a desk all day at the day job, so putting my feet up on the couch with the laptop is a nice, refreshing change.

Melissa, couch-as-office is one of the great perks about being a writer. Wrestling prose with feet up, coffee on one side and snoring dogs on the other!

What's to keep you from sitting in the deck chair of the cruise ship, sipping lemonade and watching the Caribbean go by while clacking away on your laptop?
OK, now I'm jealous.
